Built for the ED, not the textbook

POCUS should not be generic. Each discipline asks different clinical questions, works under different constraints, and requires different decisions at the bedside. Training should reflect that.

This workshop is designed specifically for emergency medicine — focused, practical, and aligned with real ED workflows. The emphasis is on high-yield MSK applications and procedural integration, with the goal of immediate clinical translation.

ED-Specific Focus

Content limited to high-yield applications relevant to emergency medicine practice. No unnecessary breadth.

Hands-On Training

Small-group format with live models for scanning and simulation models for procedures. Learn by doing.

Immediate Translation

Structured to support same-week implementation. Walk out ready to scan.

What you will learn
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
01

Focused Shoulder Assessment

Perform a simplified ED-approach shoulder ultrasound assessment efficiently and accurately.

02

Rotator Cuff Pathology

Identify key findings in rotator cuff pathology and calcific tendinopathy at the bedside.

03

Joint Effusions

Use POCUS to assess joint effusions across elbow, knee, and ankle presentations.

04

Achilles Assessment

Evaluate the Achilles tendon for clinically relevant pathology using point-of-care ultrasound.

05

Guided Procedures

Perform selected ultrasound-guided MSK procedures and regional nerve blocks.

06

Clinical Integration

Integrate MSK POCUS findings into clinical decision-making workflows at the bedside.
